HEAT STROKE AND DEATH

Every year many dogs and puppies die from heat stroke.  All too often this is the result of leaving them in a car on a warm day.   Recognize the symptoms and if it is  warm out leave your dog (puppy) at home unless you plan to take them in someplace with you  .  To learn more visit

TICK REMOVAL

Ticks are more rampant because of the weather in many parts of the country this year.  It is important to check both you and you PON(s) after spending time outdoors, particularly if you live in a deer environment.   They can cause many serious diseases but as a rule if you remove them within 12-24 hours they don't cause harm.  Some are as small as a pin head so you may have to look very carefully.  For instructions on how to safely remove them visit
